The SMX Convention Center takes pride in being a PWD (Persons with Disability) - friendly building. During construction, SMX has been audited for compliance with Republic Act 7277 or the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, whereby all public institutions and establishments must have special provisions for persons with disabilities. SMX has designated parking spaces, ramps, mechanical lifts, passenger elevators, and designated bathrooms with the correct height for the water closet, urinal and lavatory as per United Nations standards.

How far is the airport from the Convention Center?
International flights arrive and depart from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). There are 3 terminals so it is important to take note which terminal your airline uses. All flights of Philippine Airlines use terminal 2 or the Centennial Airport. Other airlines are distributed between terminal 1 and 2.
Upon arrival, all passengers are required to go through immigration. All tourists may enter the Philippines without a formal visa and stay for21 days. A longer stay will require a visa. After immigration, passengers may proceed to claim their luggage. There are a lot of porters who will be offering their services to help you carry your bags and bring you to the pick-up point for arranged car services or to the taxi bays. Tipping $1-2 or Php 50-100 is common practice should you require hire them to carry your bags.
Customs should be quick especially for business travelers who have nothing to declare.
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport as well as the domestic airport is about a 15-20 minute car-ride away from SMX.
What are the modes of transportation available in SMX?
At the airport, one will see 2 kinds of taxis – yellow and white. The yellow ones are airport taxis registered at the airport. They are a bit more pricey with a flag down rate of Php 70.00. They are required to pass only on major thoroughfares and avoid shortcuts. White taxis are the regular city taxis which charge a base rate of Php 40.00. Always make sure that the meter is on and do not settle for a fixed rate.
Within the Mall of Asia Complex are two key public transport terminals with different means of transportation that cover the entire Metro Manila area. In addition, the Mall of Asia Complex is less than two kilometers away from the central train stations of Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT). There are also several luxury and boutique hotels within a three-kilometer radius of the Complex.
